Postgraduate Studies

Hi,
I've been thinking about what to do when I finish my undergraduate studies. In this context, continuing to study is an option. However, every time someone ask me if I wanna continue studying I say yes, but it depends on wheter I get work immediately upon graduation (this is my ideal world).
In this case, I can postpone my studies until have a working pace, and then take a part time course. If I don't have a job inmmediately, I think about going to study the next year.

In any case, I hope some study and I've two reasons: first, I don't like being with nothing to do and I wanna to specialize in my area, and the second reason is wheter we wanted or not, working life is easier with postgraduate studies. In addition, is necessary to be updated of new methods and techniques to do a good job.

I haven't thought about the subject yet, but I would like to do some related to forensics or criminalistics and checking I found a lot in Spain. I hoped could do it in Chile, in this university or  still wait the opening in the Catholic, but it would take a long time. So, my plans depend on this, therefore I don't rule out the possibility of distance learning.

I know it's a bit boring, so thanks for reading.

My future job

I'll start saying that this is the most frequent topic in my conversations (included conversations with myself) since last 2 or 3 weeks.
Fourth year of university is the moment to question everything, and think about what you like to your future. I know that sounds some dramatic, but in my case it's real. Physical Anthropology is so varied, so that, there are a little concrete jobs, unless you decide to work research.

Personally, I really like Forensic Anthropology, so I hope can work in this area in the not-so-distant future, specially about Dental Anthropology. I ldon't like indoor jobs like engineers glued to some screen, but the work in the laboratory is different and I love it, as study bones. Obviously there are some basic rules, like use the white apron and don't let your hair down.
More often than usual, the people ask me if my career is like the TV series (like "Bones"), and I must say sadly no.

Related to this, I think the work is more static. That is there are not many trips and it's a shame 'cause I like to travel. The good thing about it is the stability.

Salary always is important, but I don't expect turn into a millonaire with this, just live quietly and do what I love. Ok, that sounds cliché.

YAY, another themed free...

I talked about my difficult to do those things.
So, I will be more creative.

Today, I will talk about hedgehogs. I'm very simplistic for my themes.
I don't know if they are my favourite animals, but I like so much.
The hedgehog is a spiny mammal and his scientific name is Erinaceus europaeus.
According to the National Geographic: "Hedgehogs have a coat of stiff, sharp spines. If attacked they will curl into a prickly and unappetizing ball that deters most predators."
They have adapted to nocturnal life in the wild. We can find hedgehogs in Africa, Europe, Asia, New Zeland. But recently we are living a hedgehog's boom around the world, obviously, like exotic pets.
In spite,  domestic hedgehogs are hybrids, smaller than wild, and very cute animals.
I can talk about my own experience, 'cause I have a hedgehog and each one have their own personality. In 2010 my mom gave me one, and she was different 'cause she was an albino hedgehog. In those times in Chile there was not much information about these animals, even was so difficult to find an exotic veterinary surgeon. We don't have hedgehog food neither, so, they eat cat's food. My pet dies on November 8th, 2014.
But, I have good news (yass): today, we can find a lot of things related to these animals and have a hedgehog actually is very different. Since 2017, I have another hedgehog, but this time she's a salt and pepper hedgehog.
She's the most spoiled.

Micah Christenson

Hi guys,
Well, write without a theme is more difficult than I believed, 'cause I'm a indecisive person.
So, I chose a simple theme, I can't think anymore.

I'll tell you about a person I admire:Micah Christenson.
He's a american volleyball player, specifically a setter, and he plays for the national team of USA and Modena Volley Club, a professional volley team based in Italy.

I follow him in Instagram recently and watch for Youtube the lives about games, principally the Volleyball World Grand Prix, videos transmitted by the International Volleyball Federation (thanks for all FIVB), for him national team. It's my best motivation while I'm writing for the University, but above all I watch him the days I have a match.

But I need to admit when I looked for the first time, I thought something very superficial: He has the typical good and pretty boy face of the American Dream (not for the blonde), and that for this he was very egocentric. But this image created by myself based on a prejudice, change when I watched it  play and saw his attitude of comradeship inside and outside the court, and that's what matters when you are in an important match and your teammates don't know what to do, know how to lean in those moments.

Thanks for reading and have a nice weekend!

My best Holidays: A summer to remember

Hello again!
I'm going to tell you about my best holidays, but is very difficult to choose only one, 'cause I enjoy each one of them.
I think I've had vacations in prettier places, but I didn't choose these for that. Anyway, I'll tell my story.
In the summer of 2017, we agreed with my best friend to travel to watch Soth American Volleyball championship in Coquimbo-La Serena (specifically Beach Peñuelas) between 9th an 15th February. Besides, we could take advantage of visiting famous places in there.

We were alone in my aunt's house, so that was all our panorama, and whatever results. There are no reasons, but the first day we went to watch basketball (yes, another sport in this story) and met friends, good friends. We take full advantage six days, we watched volleyball, played for a while in the beach and went to La Herradura to swim on the sea, play cards, and more.

Besides, in the nights we went to parties, and as insignificant data, my best friends and her partner had a perfect score in Carioca, while my partner and I had the worst score, 'cause we are concentrated in get to know each other better, that's the cheesy part. You know, unlucky in the cards... It's not like that? Anyway, we are together until today.
Well, Is enough for today, I can only say that I remember every day of this holidays in detail, more than this post, but I feel a little embarrased now.

See you later!

A Country I would like to visit

Hi everyone, this time I'll write about this topic, but it's a little difficult 'cause there are many countries I would like to visit, but today I chose write about Russia.

Russia is one of the most large countries in the planet, and a very cold place. It is recognized
for its history, with a very important participation in the URSS until 1991, when it had the leading role
in the Cold War, a conflict between this organization and Unites States of america. As well as, Russia
is commonly associated with a socialist system, even when this situation has changed with the years.
One of the things that I like of this place is the weather, but its a little strange 'cause im very sensitive
to cold. Anyway, I prefer this more than a hot place. Another thing is the sport, cause I really like to
watch the Olympic Games and i admire russian gymnastics. And the last and definitly thing is the
architecture, specially the typical picture of Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood of St. Petesburg so
I would go for a walk and take pictures.

Therefore, I would like to live in this place, but I see it like a very far posibility. Obviously, if I have the
posibility to travel there i will take it, but for me, that is a place to settle.
